Ethibond Excel Suture is a nonabsorbable, braided surgical suture composed of polyethylene terephthalate, designed for superior strength and reliability in soft tissue approximation. It is coated with a polybutilate compound that enhances handling characteristics while minimizing tissue drag. 

The green suture is easily visible in the operative field, allowing precise placement and facilitating post-operative identification. With a suture size of 0 and a length of 30 inches, it provides balanced tensile strength and flexibility, suitable for medium-tension wound closures. 

This particular configuration includes a taper point SH needle, enabling smooth and controlled passage through delicate soft tissues without cutting. The 1/2 circle needle curvature allows access to confined surgical sites while minimizing trauma to surrounding structures.
